Questionnaire for cognitions in panic attacks

This questionnaire from Chambless et al. (1984) measures the frequency of certain thoughts or concerns that one may have during panic attacks. The list with only 14 items can, if desired, be taken repeatedly, in order  to follow the course of therapy for example.

The questions have 5 answer options, ranging from “the thought never occurs” to “the thought constantly occurs” and relate to 2 subscales (physical and social consequences).

Norms in Minds originate from De Beurs (1993) research and concern a group of healthy persons and a group of patients with anxiety. These norms are for men and women separately. The list is also available in English.
