Deze lijst is ontwikkeld door H. Levenson (1981), en vertaald door J. Brosschot (1994). De vragenlijst bestaat uit 24 uitspraken, waarop middels een 6-puntsschaal gereageerd kan worden. Een antwoord weerspiegelt de mate van overeenstemming met de uitspraak.
De scores worden verdeeld in 1 interne en 2 externe dimensies van locus of control: Internal Locus of Control, Powerful Others, en Chance.
Er zijn normen gebaseerd op een groep van 210 psychologiestudenten.
